What is Zoë?
(pronounced zoh-ee)
It’s a special Greek word meaning “life”. But not just life, not just biological life; Zoë is a special type of life… a spiritual life. The type of life that is in God. Is God. It’s good, pure, wonderous. Zoë is mentioned for the first time in Genesis 2:7.
Some say Zoë is the breath of God. Interesting…
I say it’s that and so much more. It’s special and I honor it by my words and art and listening to the Truth.
Zoë makes me yearn for something beyond what the world tells me is a ”normal” day job. It makes me crave something that is far more creative and me.
Every time I put a paint brush in my hands, or roll clay between my fingers, or feel the soft tention between a pencil and paper – that’s when I feel Zoë life waking up in me. It’s like being full, and in waiting, and expecting something oddly wonderful. Sometimes it feels scary; yet it always feels sacred.
For me, zoë is takes the form of art. I let my hands and mind do a better thing for me by helping me embrace a Zoë life with art, music, and words.
You can find Zoë art at my Etsy shop and art fairs.
You can also learn to embrace your own Zoë life through createHEART serving the greater Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, and El Dorado counties at http://www.createheart.com/
